Yantian Container Terminal – COVID 19 Update

The increase in COVID-19 positive cases at Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) has resulted in major delays and interruptions to vessel schedules and terminal operations at the port.  All operations in the western area of Yantian port have been suspended until further notice, as local authorities implement disinfection and quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Operations in the eastern area of the port remain at a low productivity level. Consequently, vessels are expected to be delayed up to 5 days in the coming weeks due to the continued terminal congestion.

In addition, several shipping lines have announced that their vessels will be omitting the port of Yantian to avoid delays and protect schedule reliability. We would suggest that if you have orders to move from this area, that you let us know about these as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made.
